POAC welcomes New Patron
Dr David Hutchon was an NHS consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist in Darlington. David an advocate of how EARLY CORD CLAMPING could be avoided at all births, even when resuscitation was necessary. Dr Hutchon’s research inspired him to design & engineer a specialised LIFSTART trolley first presented at the 2008 RCOG London Congress. Currently David is now undertaking a MPhil in medical engineering to develop a hands-free doppler ultrasound to provide the neonatal heart rate immediately after birth, a result which is both available to all the resuscitation team and fully documented in real time.
